GMB – What are the latest updates from IDnow for the Brazilian iGaming market?
Ronaldo Kos – IDnow is bringing something fantastic to the market. In addition to enhancing our KYC platform for onboarding to comply with Brazilian regulations and gaining new clients daily, we have exciting announcements coming soon. However, I can share a preview. We're introducing a new orchestration platform. This platform allows us to connect a variety of services through a single API, including data checks and other service providers—even industry peers in KYC who might serve as redundancy for some of our clients.
This new platform not only offers multiple services and products under a single API but also features drag-and-drop functionality. This means you can create a KYC workflow for a specific platform and, if you want to make changes, there's no need for redevelopment. No coding is required - just drag and drop a box to instantly adjust the workflow.
It’s also possible to copy and paste different workflows to create distinct environments for multiple brands. For instance, if a company operates under one CNPJ (Brazilian tax registration) with three brands, each can have its own workflow. You create a base for the CNPJ and quickly customize specific workflows for each brand.
Is this a productivity and intelligence tool for operators?
Yes, it’s about productivity, intelligence, and agility. The gaming ecosystem involves the operator, the gaming platform, and various integrated services. These integrations are often complex, slow, and require adaptations and prioritizations among stakeholders.
IDnow’s orchestration platform simplifies this, making the work easier for platforms, operators, and service providers, creating a more straightforward environment for all players in the industry.
We’re on the verge of launching a regulated market in Brazil. Is IDnow ready?
We are 100% ready, just waiting for the go-ahead. We've conducted tests with several clients, continually learning and improving. While no one is perfect, we’re growing more mature in the Brazilian market, leveraging the experience of a 10-year-old German company with technology tailored for Brazil. We offer secure, fast, and reliable services to our Brazilian clients.
Have you already received approval from certification bodies?
The regulation process in Brazil doesn’t currently require specific certification for KYC companies, but we anticipate this will happen in the future to provide clients with greater assurance when choosing a provider. Currently, the certification applies to the integration between the platform and the KYC provider.
Is IDnow ready to collaborate and provide technical information for future certifications?
Absolutely. I believe KYC companies and the market must build on pillars like education and collaboration. It’s essential to educate players and the market, especially in a newly regulated environment like Brazil. IDnow operates exclusively in regulated markets, such as in Europe and other Latin American countries. Without collaboration between operators, service providers, and regulators, there will be no learning or consensus. This collaboration is crucial to creating a healthy environment in Brazil.
