Most expensive edition in Brazilian Poker Championship history to pay out US$600k to the champion

For the first time in the history of Brazilian poker, it was held a tournament with a buy-in of R$250,000 (US$43,000). And the result was impressive: 43 entries, R$10,206,800 (US$1.75m) in total prize money and R$3.5 million (US$600k) for the grand champion - this is a record in the history of Brazilian poker.


After a qualifying day, which took place this Monday (25), the players continue to compete for the prize money on Tuesday (26). Six players will be awarded prizes, with amounts starting at R$704,800 (US$121,000) for 6th place and reaching the gigantic amount of R$3.5 million (US$600k) for the grand champion.

Prizes:

1º - R$ 3,500,000 (US$600k)

2º - R$ 2,400,000 (US$413,000)

3º - R$ 1.520.000 (US$261,000)

4º - R$ 1,164,000 (US$200,000)

5º - R$ 918,000 (US$158,000)

6º - 704,800 (US$121,000)

The biggest names in Brazilian poker and several top international players competed in the tournament. Among the highlights were Yuri “TheNerdGuy” Dzivielevski; Rafael Moraes and André Akkari. Players from Russia, Canada, Portugal, France and Peru also participated.

The BSOP Millions 2024 marks the final stage of the 2024 Brazilian Poker Championship and takes place from November 15 to 29 at the WTC Sheraton in São Paulo.
