"We are among the betting operators that have applied to the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) to operate in Brazil, and we are committed to pursuing all necessary measures to ensure a protected environment that prioritizes the well-being of our bettors," states Anderson Nunes, Business Head of Casa de Apostas.
"Joining the program underscores our commitment to providing a safe and responsible betting space that complies with the new regulatory requirements."
The plan involves conducting a diagnostic phase led by EBAC professionals in partnership with betting companies. Based on this analysis, a customized action plan will be developed for each operator, focusing on implementing best practices to promote responsible gambling.
The execution of these strategies will be the responsibility of the platforms, with the EBAC team providing ongoing support throughout the process.
"Betting platforms will be required to implement detection systems, warning signs, and guidance mechanisms for players who might show signs of gambling disorders. Following this initial approach, they will also need to provide information on how to maintain necessary care," explains Ricardo Magri, CEO of EBAC.
Founded in 2022, the Brazilian Company for Support to Compulsive Gamblers (EBAC) is well-positioned to address the needs of both companies and users through a team of specialists in psychology, communication, organizational management, and compliance in the gaming industry.
"Support is offered directly to the bettor, free of charge, starting with psychological assistance, followed by screening and referral to a psychoeducational program lasting up to eight weeks," explains Cristiano Costa, psychologist and Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) of EBAC. "During this process, users will have access to technical information and high-quality group experiences to address gambling-related disorders," he adds.
Casa de Apostas, on the other hand, was founded in 2013 in Europe and is the first genuinely Brazilian brand in the betting sector, operating in the country since 2019.
As the first company in its segment to sponsor national football clubs in Brazil, Casa de Apostas made headlines this year by acquiring the naming rights to two of Brazil's most prominent stadiums: Arena Fonte Nova (under a four-season contract) and Arena das Dunas (for five years).
The company also leverages the credibility of its ambassador Renata Fan, host of Jogo Aberto and a long-time partner of the brand. Recently, comedian Danilo Gentili joined as another high-profile partner.
