Bill 3932/24, by Congressman Romero Rodrigues (Pode-PB), establishes the National Policy for Raising Awareness and Combating Technological Addiction in Children and Adolescents to impose additional measures to combat gambling by minors under 18 years of age.
Thisn Monday (4), the Chamber approved the urgency regime for the bill, which means it can be voted on directly in the Plenary, without first going through the House committees. In addition, it is mandatory that it be scheduled immediately, which could lead to the bill being voted on this week.
The bill by the congressman from Paraíba state also calls for a ban on advertising or publicity by betting companies in schools and other educational institutions.
The project also seeks to block the broadcasting of advertisements that include the participation of minors or that are aimed at children and adolescents.
