In yet another update forced by a court ruling, the fifth since the release of the first national list of ‘Bets’ – as operators are called in Brazil - that submitted their applications to the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, the SPA released a new list of companies eligible to operate during the transition period, which runs until the end of December.
YG Gaming Ltda. was included, which is eligible to operate with the brands 6z, 8pg and 98br. The company had not previously been included in the list and went to court to ensure its pre-operation.
There are now 103 companies listed, five of which were granted by court order. In total, they represent 232 betting brands eligible to operate in Brazil until December 31.
The Betting Management System (Sigap) already lists 271 companies that have applied to obtain an operating license in the Brazilian regulated market, with almost 100 of them applying after the deadline stipulated by the SPA for the license to be granted this year.
Considering the national and state lists, there are already 134 companies and 272 websites authorized to offer sports betting and online games. There is still no list of companies definitively approved to operate in Brazil.
