GMB – UpBet is one of the companies authorized to operate provisionally until December 31st. How do you position yourself at this point in the pre-regulated sports betting and online gaming market?
Éder Ziomek – On our side, we have been working to provide maximum credibility and transparency to the customer, to the end user. And this is another stage we are overcoming, which is regulation. We submitted the request before August 20th, so we are in compliance with everything that the Betting Management System (Sigap) requested.
What was your objective in attending a CP Games event talking about regulation and responsible gaming?
I think this exchange of opinions between operators is extremely important, so that we can work together to combat illegality and various platforms that we know unfortunately continue to operate, even with the restrictions that the government has been imposing. It is very positive for the market to unite and strengthen itself to combat this type of operation that does not bring legality and responsibility to the sector.
Speaking a little about CP Games, we see that it is a new provider entering the market with great games. So, we have to be attentive to these games, understand if customers are enjoying them in order to offer these products to them.
Is UpBet already offering CP Games games on its platform?
We are in the process of integrating to include CP Games games on our platform. We received a visit from them at the office and that was when this relationship began and they invited us to come to the event.
If you are in the process of integrating is it because the games meet the expectations of Brazilian users?
We believe so. We have analyzed the games extensively and they seem to be what the Brazilian public is interested in. And, on CP Games' side, they have made themselves available to understand which games the Brazilian public is interested in, so that they can develop them.
From a technical standpoint, is UpBet ready for the new regulated market, with certifications and with the entire platform adjusted to government regulations?
We are ready. The list of all tests with the Betting Management System (Sigap) has already been updated. We have passed all the tests for sending information to Sigap. Our entire technical team has already done this with the government system.
UpBet is just waiting for final approval to make the payment of the concession fee and start operations on January 1st. Did you choose to present only one brand or others together with UpBet?
We are considering three brands: UpBet, WJcasino and 9d. These other two will start operating on January 1st. All information has already been sent to SIGAP, within the law and following all rules and regulations.
