GMB - What new products and services did you come to present this year at ICE 2024?
Stefanos Karakidis - We came to present our sports betting solution, as well as Betby Games' eSports content, unique in the industry. It includes eleven disciplines, eleven different sports. And a new product, a new department that we are showcasing at ICE for the first time, the Artificial Intelligence Labs. With this, we have developed tools for operators that can control detection systems, automate the risk system, and operate in a more flexible manner.
What markets do you want to reach this year?
First of all, Latin America, effectively. Then some European markets, and we also have plans for expansion in North America. Betby has many partners in Latin America, and all of them are already trying to expand in Brazil. Now the focus is on Brazil, a market that has been regulated for a short time. I believe there are many opportunities in Brazil, and our partners have already begun to invest and take advantage of the regulation and the new system to expand there.
What does Brazil represent for Betby, especially now with the approval of regulation? Have you analyzed these new regulations?
Sure, we are already prepared as a company because it is a market that will be regulated, and we have also conducted our legal studies. We are prepared to support our partners. As I mentioned, most will want the license to operate in Brazil, but there are also many more operators willing to enter this market. I think it's a super interesting and diverse market, but also with many opportunities. That's why several operators are focused on it.
Have you analyzed the Brazilian market and compared its players with Europeans?
Of course, each country is different. It is completely distinct even though we conduct our studies and analysis and are also taking advantage of the opportunities that exist. We also adapt our sports betting offering to the market we are entering, like Brazil now. I think we have a portfolio of sports and offerings that is unique in the industry, the most comprehensive that any operator can acquire.
Betby can now provide its own eSports odds portfolio after obtaining the regulatory license from the MGA of Malta. How does this benefit you?
Yes, we recently received approval from the MGA (Malta Gaming Authority) for our eSports, the Betby Games. Now we have the flexibility to deliver content to some operators who work with an MGA license or even some operators who operate in jurisdictions that accept the MGA license. This is a step forward, creating many opportunities because it is unique content, and I think there are many opportunities to continue growing. This complements the position we have as an eSports provider in the industry.
Many bookmakers have incorporated eSports, but you have always been specialists in the filed. What sets you apart from the rest?
As I mentioned, Betby Games' esports content is unique in the industry. It already includes 11 disciplines. There is incredible product flexibility in customizing all tournaments and creating content that can adapt to the needs of any operator, but it is also content that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Users, when traditional sports end, can find interesting content to bet on these Betby Games. I think we have invested a lot as a company in this sector and in this Betby Games product, and there are many more opportunities to continue growing and optimizing it further and adapting it to any market.
What is your assessment of this event, ICE 2024?
It was very good; they were incredible days. I was happy to see partners, friends. I have been in the industry for many years, and it was wonderful in terms of many opportunities for Betby as a company. Opportunities to grow in all regulated markets as well. Since we are planning to enter regulated markets, the first step, as we will announce in the coming weeks, will be with North America, and much more to come in the future.
