GMB -You are new to the company, and it must not be a coincidence that Oddin.gg incorporates a Brazilian executive... this marks the relevance of this market, correct?
Rafael Brunacci - The company decided to hire someone local due to the importance Brazil has been gaining in recent years with the approval of regulation and the growth seen in the eSports market. So, it's only fair to grow the team here and choose a Brazilian to lead their initiatives.
eSports are continuously growing, and Oddin.gg has become a leading company for operators. What did you come to show at ICE, and what are your differentiators for sports betting operators?
eSports indeed continue to grow. They have been a phenomenon in recent years. Today, the projected volume of the global market is nearly 5 billion dollars, and the focus of sports betting operators is greatly on this. So, it's only fair to present our product here, also aimed at the Latin American market. We are the eSports ecosystem, providing feeds and odds to sports betting operators so that they can explore this growing market further.
What sets Oddin.gg apart from other sports betting companies?
What Oddin.gg offers is much more extensive content. We produce our own leagues, manage the internal risk of the company, and provide ready-made content for sports betting operators to add their margins and engage with their users in these growing eSports. Oddin.gg provides extremely rich and quality content products for sports betting operators to offer to bettors. When they realize they can bet on leagues like these, I think Brazilians will automatically become more accustomed to it, not just to traditional sports.
What are Oddin.gg's immediate and long-term plans for Latin America?
In the short term, it's more about education and consultation, as many sports betting operators still don't know how to harness the potential that eSports are bringing to Brazil. Once they understand the potential they have, we will offer our solution and engage users with sports betting operators through educational campaigns, etc.
There are a lot of games; we have the largest portfolio of our own games today and also use official data from League of Legends and CS:GO. It represents 60% of the global market, so we can provide sports betting operators with very rich data so they can make little effort and offer this to bettors.
There is no one better than a Brazilian to talk about what the bettor there is like... what are your favorite eSports to bet on, and what is your behavior and habit?
Brazilians follow the global trend of eSports, so, in addition to the most well-known titles, we can list some like CS:GO, Valorant, Dota 2, and FIFA, of course, soccer in Brazil. As soon as people realize they can bet on eSports, there will be adoption, just like today with traditional sports. Since the games are played between different leagues and players, it will be a new world where Brazilian bettors, through sports betting operators, will get to know a little more and immediately enjoy betting.
What can Brazil represent for Oddin.gg, and what relationship does it have with this current market? What specific plans do you have for the Brazilian market?
Especially now with regulation, the idea in Latin America is to create brand awareness for Oddin.gg in 2024. This was being done by a business developer from Germany here, who did an excellent job. Choosing a local person and, as I said, having consultative initiatives to educate and show some of the potential of these eSports to the largest sports betting operators, especially local ones, will be our goal for this year. Long-term, the idea is to follow the global trend and continue to grow in volume and the number of sports offered.
