According to a survey conducted by Aposta Legal Brasil via OpinionBox, 78% of Brazilians have already been involved in some form of betting, including lotteries, betting houses, pools, and other modalities. Part of this audience, more precisely 37%, admitted to losing more money than initially planned.
Additionally, 28% identified anxiety-related behaviors associated with gambling. Therefore, it is crucial to create discussions around the subject for proper awareness, to avoid compulsive and unrestrained behaviors with something as serious as this.
The guidelines for Responsible Gambling include a set of actions adopted by gaming, lottery, and betting administrators with the aim of preventing individuals under 18 from betting, providing guidance on prevention, and addressing possible gambling-related harms and treatments.
In order to foster discussions in the sector, Rei do Pitaco, one of the largest fantasy games in Latin America, will host a free webinar entitled "Responsible Gambling beyond policies". The event will take place on February 19th, from 5 pm to 6 pm, and registrations can be made here.
Among the participants are:
Valter Delfraro Junior, Executive of Government Relations and Business Development Brazil at GLI. The global laboratory supports the sector and government entities in analyses and in their certification and consultancy needs, exploring new opportunities in Brazil and elsewhere in the world.
