Corinthians wins title for the third

Betano highlights positive sponsorship and naming rights of Supercopa Feminina in Brazil

Corinthians and Cruzeiro entered the pitch yesterday (18) morning at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo for the grand finale of the Supercopa Feminina Betano 2024. Corinthians, in its third final, won the title with a 1-0 score. Women's football has been gaining increasing prominence among Brazilian fans, and Betano is proud to be part of this story. Yesterday's final drew a total audience of 33,424.

Corinthians' player Duda Sampaio was awarded the "Betano MVP" trophy for her performance during the championship.

One of the novelties of this edition was the increase in prize money for the finalist teams. This year, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) awarded the finalists with R$1 million (US$ 200k), with R$600,000 (US$ 120k) for the winner and R$400,000 (US$ 80k) to the runner-up. This marks a 25% increase in prize money since the last final in 2023.

Another novelty of the 2024 Supercopa Feminina Betano 2024 was the participation of influencers Marilia Galvão, Flávia Bandoni, Jay Oliveira, and Domitila Becker, who provided coverage of the matches on their own social media platforms as well as Betano's, further expanding the female perspective on sports.

"It's a lot of joy to be part of this wonderful celebration. Women's football always shows its strength. It's great to see fans and sponsors like Betano mobilizing to make women's football championships increasingly popular," emphasizes Marilia Galvão.

Throughout the past week, fans had the opportunity to watch the best women's football teams in the country at the Supercopa, which, for the third consecutive year since its inception in 2022, has been sponsored by Betano, a brand that also holds the naming rights for the event that kicks off the women's football season in Brazil.

"It's a huge honor for the brand to sponsor, once again, such an important championship for women's football in Brazil. Every year, we can clearly see the evolution of the games, sponsorships, and fan base. The partnership between Betano and the Supercopa demonstrates that women's football in the country can only grow with more investments and support," says Betano.
