"DATA.BET's goal for this year is Brazil and the entire Latin America"

In the exclusive interview with GMB during ICE London 2024, DATA.BET showcases its latest technology investments for eSports. Alex Kozachenko, CPO, emphasizes their pursuit of excellence, acknowledging the growth potential in this field. He highlighted differences in behavior between European and Brazilian players, noting the competitive spirit of Latin gamers. The company aims to support operators in promising markets like Brazil and Latin America, striving to deliver high-quality products.

GMB - What DATA.BET have come to present this year at ICE 2024?
Alex Kozachenko
- We always present the technological investments that we do inside of our company which are aimed at technical stability and the wideness and the depth of the eSports line that we offer to our partners to the high end and the high-quality risk management, our AI models. And all of that together, when you combine it, you get the top leash eSports product which serves our partners to get profits to be happy and to make their end users happy. This is what we've been doing for quite many years, and this is what we are trying to get better at every single day.

Do you think the operators are getting the most of eSports today or do they have a lot to learn yet?
I think the eSports community, if you think about the whole society and the ecosystem of eSports, it is generally quite young if you connect it to classic sports. And it goes also with betting, right? A lot of companies are used to classic sports to market it, to trade it. It's slightly different from eSports, and yes, there's always room for improvement. We are constantly talking to new companies, and we see that everyone always wants to get something better than what there is out, and obviously that's means that there's still a lot to be done in terms of the ecosystem, getting more eSports, getting more tournaments, getting the line better. It's a lot to be done. It's not as mature as classic sports.

What is the difference between Brazilian and European players behavior?
I think it is generally the society that they would consider themselves. For example, we have seen the way people behave when they're on the stadiums, you can see that. From my perceptions, Europeans are slightly more chill for them. It's more fun, it's interesting, they're going there to have a good time, while if you think, for example, about Brazil, from my own perception, what I've seen for them it's way more competitive, in a good way it is more aggressive. It is just a bit different, and Brazil is a very interesting place in terms of eSports I see that there's going to be a lot of development over the next two years.

How can DATA.BET specialists help operators?  How can they benefit and help the business?I think one of the core features that we have is, obviously, the line. We offer pretty much anything that there is on the market, and we can offer even more than that. Which means that pretty much any of our partner can provide his end user what they like. Doesn't depend really on the region, doesn't matter if it's going to be somewhere in China or in Brazil or in Europe or anywhere. And on top of that we have partners who operate in Brazil. We know the market, the way gamblers behave there we already have experience with that so we are very sure on what we do.

Which markets are you most targeting now?
I think for this year my personal goal is, obviously Brazil, and generally all the Latin America. The popularity of eSports has been growing there're massively over the past two years. And I think the second one, obviously, is Asia. It has always been the home of eSports been always there, and it's it keeps on growing, so I think those are the two reason for us main ones this year.

What can Brazil represent for DATA.BET and what your plans for the country?
That's an interesting question. I could say that reaching Brazil is sort of an achievement where if you reach that market, with the popularity of eSports growing and people demanding a better product,  if we managing to reach Brazil, I think it's the proof of concept that we can do anything. And that's the goal.
