"Months of planning and preparation led up to this moment. We took care to consider every region, creating experiences to generate memories for the revelers. Investing in Carnival means investing in entertainment and culture. I'm very proud of everything we've accomplished during these festive days," stated Darwin Henrique da Silva Filho, CEO of Grupo Esportes da Sorte.
In Recife/PE, where Esportes da Sorte was the official sponsor of the Recife City Carnival, major actions were carried out throughout the city. At the city's main stage, at Marco Zero, during band breaks, a DJ from Esportes da Sorte entertained the crowd with the stage illuminated in the company's colors.
Another major attraction in the Recife neighborhood that drew a lot of attention from revelers was the brand's Ferris wheel. Located near the Customs Pier, a 20-meter-high structure was available to the public for free, upon registration on the betting platform, and attracted many people to view the festivities from above.
Also in Old Recife, Barbosa Lima Avenue transformed into the “Rua da Sorte” (Street of Luck) throughout the carnival period. With an LED tunnel for access, the street featured Instagrammable spaces and a cultural contest to win a trip to Fernando de Noronha with a companion. Revelers could record a video explaining "Why is Esportes da Sorte Carnival the Real Carnival?" The winner will be announced soon on Instagram, with the most creative response being the criterion.
The avenue also underwent a new carnival-themed painting during this period. Now, the artists behind the R.U.A. project's murals will be invited to repaint them and leave a legacy for the city on what is now the Street of Luck. Additionally, the company once again sponsored the Galo da Madrugada, considered the world's largest street block.
For this parade, which marked the beginning of the carnival, Esporte da Sorte presented an exclusive brand float with a special tribute to Reginaldo Rossi, along with dancers and giant puppets to lead the procession. Activations were also carried out in the official Galo's cabin, and singer Michel Teló – ambassador of Esportes da Sorte – made a special appearance on Elba Ramalho's trio, at the brand's invitation.
In Salvador/BA, the company sponsored the trios of Ivete Sangalo, Cláudia Leitte, Durval Lelis, Harmonia do Samba, Banda Eva, and Polêmico. Ivete Sangalo, owner of the carnival hit with the song "Macetando," and presenter Leo Pida, Esportes da Sorte's partner during the festivities, interacted during the singer's block on the 13th. The singer also chose a reveler to receive a suitcase filled with Esportes da Sorte merchandise and win an all-expenses-paid trip to Recife and Fernando de Noronha.
In Rio de Janeiro/RJ, highlights include the sponsorship of the Salgueiro and Grande Rio Samba Schools, which returned to Sapucaí on Champions' Saturday in 4th and 3rd place, respectively. They received activations and merchandise distribution at the rehearsals and courts during the carnival season. At Sapucaí, besides Salgueiro's lounge with privileged views and influencer participation, the King's VIP Box, considered one of the main spots at the party, also had the brand's sponsorship.
The Cordão da Bola Preta Block – one of the biggest and most traditional blocks of Rio's carnival – along with other major street blocks like "Suvaco de Cristo" and "Vagalume O Verde," were also sponsored by Esportes da Sorte.
In São Paulo/SP, 13 street blocks received sponsorship from Esportes da Sorte and paraded with the company's banner leading the procession, including Bloco do Fafá, led by Mc Daniel. The Galo da Madrugada traveled from Recife to São Paulo and also paraded in the capital on Carnival Monday, sponsored by Esportes da Sorte.
In Olinda/PE, tradition took over the hills with over 25 blocks sponsored by Esportes da Sorte. "Ceroula de Olinda," "Elefante de Olinda," and "Pitombeira dos Quatro Cantos" were some of the historical blocks supported by the brand. The special highlight was the parade of Homem da Meia Noite, which featured an exclusive giveaway. The famous giant puppet's top hat was distributed to the revelers.
Bem Sertanejo Block
Singer Michel Teló, ambassador of Esportes da Sorte, had the brand's sponsorship to expand the presence of his Bem Sertanejo Block in Carnival 2024. The block, known in São Paulo's carnival for 4 years, hit the streets with many hits, in addition to his successes in carnival march format. The novelty this year is that, besides the traditional parade in the capital, the block also passed through Belo Horizonte and Balneário Camboriú, being a huge success with the public.
The cities of Belo Horizonte/MG, Anicuns/GO, Porto Alegre/RS, Florianópolis/SC, and Laguna/SC also had blocks sponsored by Esportes da Sorte. Among the many blocks in the Minas Gerais capital, "Não Acredito Que Te Beijei" and "Baianeiros" had a great party.
In Santa Catarina, there were eight blocks across the state, with highlights including the "Bloco dos Sujos" and "Carnaval Santo Antônio de Lisboa" in Florianópolis. In Goiás, the festivity rocked the city of Anincus, with major attractions like Guilherme e Benutto and Israel Novaes. In Rio Grande do Sul, there were nine blocks spread throughout the state.
