The agreement entails the maintenance of the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) and covers matches in the following categories: Mineiro Módulo I, Mineiro Feminino, Mineiro Módulo II, Segunda Divisão, and Mineiro Sub-20. The partnership between the parties is set for three years.
FMF President, Adriano Aro, emphasized the significance of investing in integrity tools to uphold fair play. "The Minas Gerais Federation will always advocate for integrity within football and society and will spare no effort to detect and prevent threats that may interfere with the competitions we organize. We are pleased to extend this partnership for the sport we love so much," he stated.
Fighting fraud
Prevention serves as the primary method of combating match manipulation to preserve the essence of football. Through educational workshops, clubs, athletes, referees, coaches, and other stakeholders have the opportunity to understand the modus operandi of criminals involved in match manipulation and learn to safeguard themselves against suspicious approaches.
In addition to monitoring aimed at combating any form of match manipulation, the agreement allows FMF to conduct integrity workshops for those involved in the championships mentioned in the agreement.
These workshops offer personalized educational content, utilizing interactive learning and real-life scenarios to highlight the potential risks, circumstances, and characteristics of match manipulation.
During these events, Sportradar will provide relevant information drawn from its extensive experience in monitoring, detecting, and investigating match manipulation worldwide.
