“Alea wants to obtain a license in Brazil to continue offering services to operators and grow”

In one of his first interviews as the new CEO of Alea, Jordi Sendra reveals that the company is analyzing in depth the new regulations of the Brazilian market and anticipates that it will seek a license to supply its products to more operators and comply with the legislation. During ICE London 2024, the company presented content well targeted at places like Brazil itself, including crash games, bingos and others. Sendra also highlighted the company's recent partnership with Brazilian firm Caleta Gaming.

GMB - Congratulations, this is your first event as the new CEO of ALEA. It must be a source of pride. What will be the company's objectives under your leadership?
Jordi Sendra
- I am very happy with the structural change we have made. The addition of Ramón Glieneke as COO allows us to focus more on the day-to-day operations. He will be responsible for that, while I will take on a more strategic role to develop the strategy and focus on the company's growth. Alex Tomic will have a founder role and a very strategic one, participating in many conferences and expanding to new markets that we have already conquered in the previous year, such as Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

For 2024, we expect to grow in these markets, consolidate our position in others like CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) and Europe, and try to add new services for our clients, maintaining their trust.

What did Alea come to present this year at ICE 2024?
We presented new suppliers focused mainly on these markets. Africa with lightweight games, quick to load, suitable for locations with weaker internet connections. And other content highly targeted to places like Brazil, including crash games, bingo, and others specific to countries like Peru, Chile, or even Brazil.

This reorganization of the company comes at a time of great focus on new markets like Latin America. How is this expansion going and what advantages does the region offer?
In Brazil, as a B2B, we are analyzing regulation and plan to regularize ourselves. Obtaining the license will allow us to continue offering services to the operators we already have, who are growing a lot and can continue to count on us. Of course, when a market regulates itself, it doesn't happen all at once, nor can all suppliers enter at the same time. There is a lot of work on testing, compliance, and I believe that an aggregator is a very optimized route to continue offering content to players.

Recently, you announced a collaboration with a well-known name in the Brazilian gaming industry, such as Caleta Gaming. What do you hope to achieve with this partnership and what does it consist of?
Caleta Gaming is one of the big additions this year, a supplier well known to players, as you mentioned. Now it will be available to all operators who didn't have it through Alea. It will be one of the most important content offerings we will have. The technological collaboration is quite good, and the content of the slots they produce is very outstanding, besides continuing to be aligned with the strategy of having localized content for each market.

Are there any other news or plans for Brazil that you can mention now or is it still too early?
There are some, actually, but I would prefer to have everything ready to be able to comment and give it the publicity it deserves.
