With all eyes on LatAm markets, Altenar attends CGS Gaming Insights Rio

Sports betting in LatAm is enjoying a strong period of growth and Altenar is at the heart of that ahead of CGS Gaming Insights on March 4. Hugo Llanos, Americas Regional Director, will be attending the event in Rio de Janeiro showing that company’s products are suitable for mobile, desktop and retail, and range from a top-end sportsbook to turnkey and white-label solutions for clients looking to quickly get up and running.

Altenar has been serving the iGaming industry in South America for a number of years and strengthened its presence recently with the opening of an office in Uruguay. That will allow Altenar to strengthen its position in the same time zone as LatAm operators, thinking about maintaining and always improving its business support operations.

It is an exciting time for the region, with sports betting in Brazil undergoing major changes in terms of regulation recently, and there are important differences compared to other sports betting markets around the world.

Hugo Llanos, Americas Regional Director for Altenar, will be attending CGS Gaming Insights Rio and has a good understanding of the typical LatAm punter: “In LatAm in general we like the promotions..our bonus tool is very important even though a sportsbook is not generally known for its bonus tool but it helps towards the user experience”.

Betting on multiples is popular, with customers using little stakes to try and win the jackpot! But you also have your savvy punters, analysing, comparing and choosing their markets carefully. It is a nice mix that keeps providers and operators on their toes and ready for interesting action. Monitoring that is part of the risk management we carry out".

It is a nice region for operators who can look forward to plenty of growth. I do believe honestly that it’s why there are so many countries trying to introduce regulations and get in on the action”, the executive said.

Altenar’s products are suitable for mobile, desktop and retail and range from a top-end sportsbook to turnkey and white-label solutions for clients looking to quickly get up and running.

The need for speed is perhaps more important in the LatAm market as operators look to take advantage of the new regulations, and the ability to tailor sportsbook solutions to the demands of the client makes Altenar the ideal provider.

We are all about the user experience and the journey that they have,” noted Hugo. “The easier you can make it for a customer, the more fun they are going to have and the more at ease they will feel using the website regularly".

We give our clients the tools to use different layouts depending on their target audience. It doesn’t have to be complicated - it can be as easy as using different wording for things. Even though we all speak the same language, different words are used in different countries to describe the same product. Making sure we get that right ensures a good customer experience".

Of course we offer lots more in terms of widgets, bet mentor, player props, etc but something as simple as the translation is one of the important things that might be underrated and we allow operators to deal with it in their own language and liking.”

The competition to be the best sportsbook solution for LatAm is understandably intense but Hugo believes Altenar - helped by the opening of the Uruguay office - is well positioned to lead the way.

He said: “I think we stand out in terms of the 24/7 service that we offer. We have an account manager dedicated to each brand, we listen to the needs of our customers and we develop whatever they need".

I have been a customer of Altenar myself in a few previous roles so I understand what we can do for our customers and now it is a matter of helping our own customers how to make the most of our solution".

There is of course a lot of competition in the region and I think it’s good to be in an environment where you need to keep on your toes in order to keep moving - it adds some freshness to the industry.”
