GMB - How was the process of implementing the first legalized and regulated betting house in Brazil, in the state of Paraná?
Luciana Macorin - It's been a quite innovative experience because we don't have federally regulated companies in Brazil. We started in Paraná, where we have 5 licensed companies. Nossabet just went live with the website. We operate only locally. The license allows us to cover the entire state of Paraná, and it's been quite interesting. We're learning how regulation works, our connection with the regulator, with all the other partners, even with competitors who end up being our partners to legally combat the parallel market in Paraná.
Was it easy to integrate the platform with the Lotopar control system?
It was very easy, thanks to our partner, Salsa. Our integration test even received compliments; it was quick, within two, three hours our platform was fully prepared to operate together with Paraná's. It was very good.
What are your expectations in terms of operations in Paraná?
We hope to be the biggest operator in the state. We want to make our name, Nossabet, known to all Paraná residents, to be present in all cities, and perhaps start taking Nossabet to other states as well, with state licenses, until there's federal regulation in this area as well.
