Executive from the Las Vegas firm met with Loterj

Caesars Sportsbook seeks a license to operate sports betting and online gaming in Rio de Janeiro

The president of Loterj, Hazenclever Lopes Cançado, received this Thursday (14) a visit from André Feldman, president of BIG Brazil International Games. At the time, the executive demonstrated interest in operating sports betting under the brand in Brazil. Licensed at Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, in Las Vegas, the executive sought information about the Rio de Janeiro State Lottery Accreditation Notice.

“Expectations are high. We intend to enter the Caesars Sportsbook brand in Brazil, starting in Rio de Janeiro. Our company is a licensee of the Caesars Group for the area of online gaming and sports betting and we are already working on composing all the technical documentation to, in the next few days, officially enter into Loterj accreditation,” announced André Feldman, president of BIG Brazil.

The executive also added that “Caesars, as it is a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange/Nasdaq, cannot operate in Brazil without a license. We have to wait for accreditation to begin the first operation in Brazil,” he said.

“We are very happy with the decision of the Caesars Group and BIG Brazil to invest in this betting market in the State of Rio de Janeiro. Its accreditation is an incentive for other operators to come and regularize in Rio de Janeiro,” stated Hazenclever Lopes Cançado, president of Loterj.
