One of the most traditional teams in women's football with two cups (2014 and 2019), and with one of the main budgets for the season, Ferroviária has part of its resources coming from the master sponsorship of galera.bet, which has been a partner of the club since 2023 and just extended the contract until 2026.
"Ferroviária is one of the great forces in the interior of São Paulo and has always been concerned about investing in women's football. These values are very important for galera.bet, and it is with this same thought and philosophy that we intend to continue supporting the sport,” said Marcos Sabiá, CEO of the company.
Palmeiras announced at the beginning of this year a million-dollar contribution with Esportes da Sorte, in what is already considered the biggest partnership in South America for the modality.
"It was a huge desire on our part to be more firmly involved in women's football, and this 'dating' with Palmeiras arose from that. Palmeiras has always reached the finals and fought for titles in women's football, like the Copa Libertadores, and I believe that with our partnership, we can grow even more not only in the technical aspect, but also outside the four lines, in addition to inserting ourselves in a sport that continues to grow and is already a global reality," says Darwin Filho, CEO of Esportes da Sorte.
Last week, the betting platform took its first major action with the ‘Verdão’ by releasing a video on social media that featured the cast of Palestrinas. In honor of International Women's Day, it was recorded at the Training Center in the city of Vinhedo (SP) and had the motto that “supporting women is more than saying nice words on a commemorative day, it is action!”
This year, the prize pool for the competition increased. The champion will receive R$1.5 million (US$ 300k), and the runner-up R$750 thousand (US$ 150k). In 2023, the champion received R$1.2 million (US$ 240k), and the runner-up R$600 thousand (US$ 120k). The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) will also distribute a total of R$6 million (US$ 1.2m) in quotas to participants.
For Fábio Wolff, one of the creators of the Brasil Ladies Cup, which will reach its fourth edition this year, joining these brands is essential for the development of the competition. "Due to the strengthening of women's football, we see a large number of companies interested in supporting the category. These partnerships achieved by the sport boost the development of the sport on and off the field. A great example of this is the number of new agreements being signed by teams of Brazilian football," he says.
"We can see that there is more interest from companies in supporting women's football teams. The sport is entering the radar of large companies and we are able to witness the development inside and outside the four lines. This growth of the category is not just something momentary, it is something that is here to stay," adds Armênio Neto, specialist in sports business and founding partner of Let's Goal.
"It's important to see brands supporting women's football on a recurring basis, the sport really needs it. In addition to the high visibility and growth of the sport, when it comes to activations and interactions, the athletes put on a show. They really embrace the arrival of brands and They are very professional in this connection with the fans, which greatly facilitates the work of the institutions' Marketing Department," adds Renê Salviano, CEO of Heatmap and specialist in sports marketing, who attracts contracts between brands involving sports professionals.
