The composition of the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance continues to gain shape. This Friday (22), Vanessa Meireles was appointed to the position of general coordinator of sanctioning action at the body, responsible for regulating sports betting and online gaming in Brazil. She will report to Raiana Falcão, who recently took over as area undersecretary.
With experience in management and strategic planning, project and process management, Vanessa Meireles has a degree in Economics from the University of Brasília, with a postgraduate degree in Economics and Management from FGV.
Throughout her career, she worked in public administration bodies as an advisor to ministers and secretaries, most recently being chief advisor for planning, strategy and modernization of the Federal Public Defender's Office.
She is co-author of the book “World Megatrends-What international entities and personalities think about the future of the world. Contribution to the long-term debate for Brazil.
A new general coordinator will work under the command of Raiana Falcão in the Subsecretariat for Sanctioning Action, which will judge administrative sanctioning processes, in the first instance, taking into account the legal and infralegal limits and powers provided, as well as requests for reconsideration and requests for review formulated in these processes.
