Since the Federal Supreme Court ended Caixa's monopoly on lottery operations, the Loteria do Estado da Paraíba has been strengthening its position as one of the most important regional players. After launching bids for different modalities, Lotep qualified Kenosoft in a competition that chose it to operate video lottery at the state level.
After passing all the tests required in the tender for video lottery operation, Kenosoft, a company with 15 years of experience in the Latin market operating in countries such as Chile and Colombia, among others, opened its first room in Brazil.
With 35 physical terminals in a charming and inviting room, the company offers both its own and partner games, enriching the user experience.
In addition to Insta Lotto in the Tambaú neighborhood, the company is already finalizing the project to open a new room in the capital of Paraíba. To complete the wide offer available to the population, Kenosoft has installed more than 1,000 video lottery terminals in third-party points of sale.
This demonstrates the company's dedication to the market, but Alberto Hadad, partner at Kenosoft, points out that, to further expand investments in the State, Lotep and local authorities must work to curb the activities of illegal operators.
Regarding plans for the future, he states that the company is interested in becoming the operator of the major lotteries in Brazil and also advancing in the sports betting market.

GMB - Kenosoft recently inaugurated a video lottery store under the Loteria da Paraíba brand. Where does all the company's expertise come from when entering the regulated Brazilian market?
Alberto Hadad - Kenosoft is a game development company that has been marketing its products in the regulated markets of Latin America for over 15 years. We are in Chile, El Salvador, Colombia, and Costa Rica, among other countries. And now also in Brazil.
From a technical point of view, was it difficult to meet the standards set by Lotep, given that their due diligence was quite stringent?
The truth is that it was a straightforward process because we met all the requirements requested by Lotep from the beginning due to our experience in other markets. The demand was within the expectations of such a large tender. We treated it as a priority project in the company and, in addition to our own resources, we hired third parties, reviewed some processes, and created control points to deliver on time without any setbacks.
Do you have certifications in the GLI standard, especially GLI-14? Was this enough to demonstrate Kenosoft's capability to Lotep?
Kenosoft meets the international security standards required by GLI-14. Our systemic processes are protected against manipulation and fraud, present integrity in the results - this is audited and regulated by Lotep. And yes, certainly, this standard facilitated the approval of our game plan.
An issue in the state operation is the spread of illegal gambling. How do you combat this so that Kenosoft's operation is not affected by unlicensed operators? Is there much competition with this gray market in Paraíba?
There is indeed illegal gambling in Paraíba, which, besides presenting a risk to the safety of players due to fraud and irregular practices, can also cooperate with criminal activities, does not contribute to the promotion of the economy, and does not generate taxes that are directed to essential public services in the state of Paraíba through Lotep.
It is an illegal competition that affects us because we have made large investments with results below expectations. We currently have over a thousand terminals in our own and third-party sales points. We intend to continue investing and expanding our operation, but for this, it is essential for Lotep to control and supervise, demanding that the rules of the tender be complied with by accredited companies, disclosing who these companies are to the public and eliminating illegal gambling in the market.
Tell us about Insta Lotto Vídeo Loteria. How many gaming terminals are present in the room, where is it located, and how many and which instant lottery game providers are available to users?
Our first store is located in Tambaú, one of the busiest regions of João Pessoa. We have 35 video lottery terminals with some games developed by Kenosoft and others developed by third parties with whom we have a strategic partnership. These are certified by GLI-14 to ensure compliance with the standards required by Lotep and safety and integrity for players/gamblers.
What else does the room offer in terms of convenience to visitors?
The space is very pleasant and exclusive, air-conditioned, and with Wi-Fi. We serve coffee and beverages, and we focus on personalized service. In addition to the store already in operation in João Pessoa, do you plan to open a new venue? When will this project be inaugurated?
Yes, we do! We will soon open our second video lottery store in João Pessoa. In addition to our own stores, we have over a thousand gaming terminals in third-party sales points and want to continue this expansion in other cities in the state as soon as possible. But, as I said, it is essential to eliminate illegal gambling competition.
Other states are advancing with their regulations for virtual and instant lotteries. What does Kenosoft intend to offer to state lotteries, both online and in physical form, and which states are the company targeting?
Our idea is to offer a complete range of digital games. We are interested in becoming operators of the major lotteries in Brazil and are already well advanced with some of them.
Does Kenosoft also intend to enter the sports betting market, both at the federal and state levels?
It is something we are very interested in and evolving in that direction.
