Loteria Mineira suspends international bidding for lottery exploitation in online system

The State Lottery of Minas Gerais (LEMG) accepted this Monday (4) a challenge to the international tender for the selection of a company to operate lottery games in an online/real-time system. The modalities would be explored both physically and digitally. The deadline for submitting proposals would end today (5) at 4 p.m.

In a statement on the LEMG website, the Minas Gerais State Lottery announced this Monday (4) the suspension of the International Public Tender LEMG No. 002/2023, for the exploitation of lotteries in an online/real-time system.

"“The Lottery of the State of Minas Gerais (LEMG) makes public that, after accepting objection No. 03, dated March 1, 2024, adjustments will be made to the bidding notice LEMG International Public Competition No. 002/2023 - Highest Offer Type, for hiring, exclusively within the territorial limits of the State of Minas Gerais, an experienced company and capitalized Company, to carry out the operational activities inherent to the exploitation and operation of Lottery Games in an Online/Real-Time System, including the collection of bets through in-person (Land Based) and digital/virtual (Cyber Space) means."

The agency suspended the receipt of proposals, which was scheduled to end on Tuesday, March 5, at 4:00 PM, and the opening of envelopes, tomorrow, March 6, at 2:00 PM, at the headquarters of the Minas Gerais Lottery.

In the statement, the Loteria Mineira notifies: "On this occasion, it informs that, as soon as adjustments are made to the bidding document, the bidding process will continue with the designation of new dates for the submission of envelopes and opening session, with the proper publications."

The bidding process would encompass the exploitation of electronic games through physical in-person (land-based) and digital/virtual (cyber space) means, according to the lotteries' prognostic games modalities provided for in federal and state legislation.

The service concession also included strategic planning development, game creation, implementation and operation of lottery products, marketing, creation and operation of a sales network, game commercialization, development and implementation of websites, virtual gaming platforms, and prize payments.
