With more than 20 years of experience in the sector and presence in more than 50 countries, online betting and gaming house K8.COM decided to enter the Latin American market, mainly in Brazil. In an exclusive interview with GMB, its CEO Latin America Iker Echeverría Lucchese, reveals that the brand already has its headquarters in São Paulo and highlights strategies for differentiation, including partnerships and high-impact events, such as Carnival and ambassadors with credibility in the national scene.

GMB - As newcomers to the country, what is your perception of the current scenario of the sports betting market in Brazil and its growth opportunities? What are the main challenges?

- It has been a while since there have been rumors and intentions of implementing regulations and processes in Brazil that never seem to be fully fulfilled, and this tends to lead to an unknown or unclear path in terms of operation. The challenges are similar in all regions, but I believe the focus is on bringing transparency, an ethical and professional way of working, offering a solid platform with reliable payment structure, and superior customer service.

How do you plan to differentiate K8.COM Brazil from other sports betting companies already established in Brazil?
We, as K8.COM, are focused on implementing innovations for a complete gaming experience in Brazil, bringing a transparent ethical and professional platform, leaving a portion of our revenue for social support as needed for education, health, and nutrition in Brazil.

What are the marketing and customer acquisition strategies that K8.COM Brazil intends to adopt to attract Brazilian bettors? There was a strong campaign during this year's Carnival, for example.
Bringing ethics, professionalism, and transparency to our operation is a way to retain a customer. For brand communication, we focus on hiring ambassadors with credibility to reinforce our message and values, as well as our entertainment platform. Yes, we had a great Carnival event, the 011 box, where many celebrities participated with us in this magnificent Brazilian tradition. We are planning many other events throughout the year.

Do you believe that strategic partnerships with sports clubs or other local entities can be beneficial for K8.COM Brazil's expansion in the Brazilian market? How was the decision to hire ambassadors Wanderlei Silva, Kleber Bam Bam (in boxing), and Wal Pimenta for the K8.COM Brazil team?
Developing an appropriate marketing strategy focuses on three main stages: communication and positioning; attraction and retention; and loyalty. In other words, signing high-credibility ambassadors is an efficient way to convey the message. We currently have Wanderlei, Bam Bam, Wal Pimenta, Tche Tche, and Luizão, whom we deeply respect and admire not only for what they have done in their careers but for what they can bring to the next generation.

How does K8.COM Brazil intend to deal with the specific legal requirements of the sports betting market in Brazil?
We are only interested in following what the law and guidelines indicate. We have no interest in anything beyond that.

How does K8.COM Brazil plan to ensure the security and integrity of financial transactions and player data in the Brazilian market?
K8 has an innovative platform that allows customers to withdraw within minutes. We know that one of the usual discomforts is when a platform has delays in withdrawals. Additionally, we have well-trained and experienced professionals who can guarantee our success and growth. We want to expand throughout LATAM, with our headquarters here in Brazil.

Before deciding to come to Brazil, we analyzed the market and needs, the likes, and dislikes of customers, and focused on offering a complete entertainment experience providing a 360º way to win.
