The care with lower user engagement was the research on legislation and regulation of gambling: only 14% are interested in being aware of what is defined by law for the betting market.
The numbers reflect a greater need for awareness and care on the part of bettors when placing bets.
Feelings when betting
The research shows that feelings such as concern (64%), insecurity (62%), and anxiety (60%) are predominant when betting. Other feelings indicated are joy (50%), courage (52%), and lack of guilt (56%).
According to the survey, 6 out of 10 bettors or prospective bettors say they take care of their emotional and mental health. The financial situation is the aspect of life that stands out negatively, with only 29% of respondents considering themselves satisfied.

For the majority of those who have experienced the main situations, they have happened more than once. The highlight is for those who felt guilty, with 71% experiencing this more than once.
Financial losses
When losing money, 37% of respondents stop playing or leave the betting site, being the most common reaction found in the survey.
Setting financial limits for playing is done by 26% of respondents, while 15% continue playing to try to recover the lost amount.
The loss of money without spending limits is seen by 56% of respondents as a risky betting behavior. Half of the audience considers incurring debts to gamble as a warning sign that gambling is no longer just for entertainment.
Four out of five consumers consider it important or very important for betting houses to offer support for responsible gambling.
Methodology
The survey was conducted with 1,067 people who made at least 1 online bet in the last 12 months and/or intend to make at least 1 online bet in the next 12 months. The margin of error is 3 p.p. and the confidence level of the survey is 95%.
