ANJL visits Finance, highlights importance of new ordinance on payment transactions

In one of his first actions as president of the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL), Plínio Lemos Jorge visited the Executive Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance to learn about the advances in the new regulation of the gaming sector. Joined by members of the entity, he took the opportunity to highlight the importance of the new ordinance that regulates payment transactions.

Plínio Lemos Jorge, president of the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) participated in a meeting with members of the Executive Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance this Thursday (18). Joined by members of the entity's Executive Council, he took a position on the publication of the ordinance that presents the rules on payment transactions for the sports betting and online gaming sector.

The Ordinance that establishes rules to be followed regarding payment methods brings greater predictability for both bettors and Bets, in addition to reducing possible insecurity in relation to receiving prizes.

This is the assessment of the National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL), which took a position in a meeting this Thursday (18) with members of the Executive Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the entity, “the regulations are another important step in structuring the regulated sports betting and online gaming market in Brazil.”

For the association, the prohibition on the use of payment sources such as credit cards and cryptocurrencies, the differentiation between accounts intended for withdrawals and financial contributions and those aimed at operational expenses, and the constitution of a financial reserve are important measures for the formation of an integral and transparent system.

“With clear payment rules, the player will feel safer and more comfortable on platforms that operate duly authorized. In this way, it is another important measure to keep players away from the illegal market, where they will not have any of these guarantees,” analyzes Plínio Lemos Jorge.

ANJL’s president, Pietro Lorenzoni, was joined by Bernardo Freire, Hugo Baungartner and Paula Braytne, members of the association's Executive Board.

Launched in March 2023, the ANJL defends the interests of its members, the sector and responsible and honest gaming, always guided by encouraging sport, betting security and contributing to the country's economic development.
