The Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR) has just been internationally recognized for its work in defending transparency, responsible gaming and best practices in the sports betting and online gaming market in Brazil.
It was nominated in two categories at the PRWeek Global Awards: ‘Best Campaign LatAm’ and ‘Issues and Crisis’ for the campaign “Betting on the Future: Navigating Regulation in Brazil’s Betting Market”, developed in partnership with Sherlock Communications.
The PR Week Global Awards represent the pinnacle of recognition in the public relations industry, honoring outstanding campaigns, individuals and organizations involved in international communications campaigns. And this involves, of course, bringing the topic of sports betting closer to society.
Throughout 2023, the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR) worked hard to raise awareness not only in society, but also in the government and Parliament of Brazil, about the benefits of sports betting and online gaming activities in both job creation and of tax collection.
And the work was completed with the clear demonstration that the IBJR defends the best practices adopted globally regarding transparency and responsible gaming. For much of the year, it faced crises that were overcome by clearly demonstrating a business model guided by corporate social responsibility.
The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, bringing together PR professionals from all over the world for a gala night in England, which promises, in addition to a three-course dinner, the unique opportunity for networking with luminaries focused on outreach and clarification actions towards society.
“Being a finalist in the Global Awards is a significant achievement that recognizes our commitment to excellence and innovation. The close and dedicated collaboration with Sherlock Communications has undoubtedly contributed to our success,” highlights the IBJR.
“We are grateful for this opportunity, and we eagerly await the outcome of this great award!”, it concludes.
The Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming (IBJR) was born from the union of the groups bet365, Flutter, Entain, Betsson Group, Betway Group, Yolo Group, Netbet Group, KTO Group, Rei do Pitaco, Novibet and LeoVegas with the aim of fostering debate on the regulation of sports betting in Brazil.
Currently, in addition to the founding companies, Pay4Fun, Grupo OKTO and OneKey Payments (payment solutions), the media group Better Collective, the agency Clever Advertising and the digital and sports marketing company Volta Pra Marcar complete the list.
