The knockout competition, which will begin at the end of April, is the largest of its kind in Brazil and this year broke a new record for affiliated teams, with 80 entries coming from all over the country. Federations from all states nominated their representatives through a preliminary phase and now they face each other in the key until the big decision.
The event will bring together 80 teams and will distribute R$50,000 (US$ 10,000) in prizes to the champion, in addition to travel assistance.
Giant clubs from Brazil, such as Corinthians, Santos, Vasco, Botafogo, Ponte Preta and Guarani, are guaranteed to be present in the competition. Corinthians and Santos already have a classic scheduled and will face each other in São Paulo, at Playball, with a date to be defined.
“We are great supporters of Brazilian sport and we are very pleased to join another sport. Fut7 is very traditional in several regions of our country and the Fut7 Esportes da Sorte League Cup has everything to be a great success with the participation of big clubs,” projects Darwin Henrique da Silva Filho, CEO of Esportes da Sorte.
All matches will be broadcast on F7 TV Play or TNN Sports TV. The expectation is that the audience will surpass the 2 million views of the last season. For those watching closely, tickets will cost from R$5 (US$ 1) to R$10 (US$ 2).
With the new support of Esportes da Sorte, the Fut7 Esportes da Sorte League Cup will distribute R$50,000 (US$ 10,000) to the winning team.
Last year, Resenha (PI) lifted the trophy. From the quarter-finals onwards, clubs will also have assistance with travel and logistics to complete their matches.
