The objective of the Cibelae meeting on sports betting is to discuss the relevance of the sector with a focus on the opportunities presented by the market and the challenges and key strategies for the sustainable development of the activity.
Scheduled for April 18th and 19th in Buenos Aires, CIBELAE 2024 Conferences, which will discuss sports betting in Latin America, has the collaboration of important international actors: Council of Europe (COE), United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS) and representatives of the main regulators, laboratories and provider companies in the region.
From Brazil, in addition to several executives from companies operating in the lottery segment, Cibelae reports the participation of representatives from the Brazilian Olympic Committee and the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
They have already confirmed their presence:
* Lucíola Aor Vasconcelos, vice president of Loterias CAIXA
* Daniel Romanowski, president director of the Paraná State Lottery (Lottopar)
* Hazenclever Lopes Cançado, president of the Rio de Janeiro State Lottery (LOTERJ)
* Francisco Petrônio de Oliveira Rolim, executive secretary of Public Private Associations of the government of Paraíba, representing Lotep (Paraíba State Lottery)
Also present will be the deputy secretary of the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance, Simone Aparecida Vicentini, and the responsible gambling monitoring coordinator of the organization, Letícia Soeiro.
Both will participate in a round table that will discuss sports betting in Brazil and Argentina, moderated by Luca Esposito, general secretary of ULIS and executive director of the WLA (World Lottery Association). This round table will take place on April 19th at 10:30 am.
In addition to their presence at CIBELAE 2024 Conferences, the two directors of the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance will visit the Buenos Aires City Lottery – Lotba, at the invitation of the organization's president.
