ZSM obtains 10 teams international rights to Brasileirão 2024 for bookmakers

The clubs Athletico-PR, Atlético-GO, Criciúma, Cruzeiro, Cuiabá, Fluminense, Fortaleza, Internacional, Juventude and Vasco have already signed an agreement for international and betting rights for the Brasileirão 2024 with the companies 1190 Sports and Zeus Sports Marketing (ZSM), who sell the games and take them to betting platforms in the foreign market.

At the moment, Botafogo is the only one in the Liga Forte União (LFU) not to sign an agreement for international broadcasting rights for the Brazilian Championship.

In this way, the companies guaranteed, through ‘Lei do Mandante’, the right to show 190 of the 380 Series A games outside the country. The ‘Lei do Mandante’ (Home Team Law) assigns exclusively to the home club of each match the right to the arena, that is, the power to negotiate the exhibition of its game with the media.

It is worth highlighting that the teams that make up Libra (ABC, Atlético-MG, Bahia, Brusque, Flamengo, Grêmio, Guarani, Ituano, Mirassol, Novorizontino, Palmeiras, Paysandu, Ponte Preta, Red Bull Bragantino, Sampaio Corrêa, Santos, São Paulo and Vitória) and Corinthians are still under negotiation, as the agreement is made individually.

We talked to the economic blocs, but the agreement is individual with the clubs. We are still open to conversations with all teams, whether the Libra teams, Botafogo or Corinthians. We still have a week until the championship starts and a lot can happen”, said Leonardo Caetano, director of 1190 Sports for Brazil to MKT Esportivo.

Until last year, Latin American broadcasts were the responsibility of ESPN. In North America, Paramount+ and Univision showed the games.

In Portugal, the championship could be watched on Channel 11, which belongs to the Portuguese Football Federation.

1190 will provide three signals to its partners: with narration in English, Portuguese and also with ambient sound.
