Loterj extends accreditation of sports betting and iGaming operators in Rio for 30 days

The Loteria do Estado do Rio de Janeiro extended, from this Tuesday (14), the deadline for companies interested in operating sports betting and online gaming to qualify with Loterj. The objective is to attract even more companies to the regulated market and guarantee an increase in revenue, both through the grant itself (R$5 million / US$ 1m) and the associated tax, of 5% on GGR.

Loterj continues with its project to become the main Brazilian state lottery and keeps accreditation open for sports betting and online gaming companies to qualify in Rio de Janeiro.

With 13 companies accredited or in the ongoing qualification process, Loterj extended the accreditation of new operators in the Rio de Janeiro regulated market for another 30 days, which runs until June 13th.

The details and operating models for sports betting and online games contained in Accreditation Notice 01/2023 can be consulted on the Loterj notice page.

Apostau.com, MarjoSports, PixBet BestBet and Rio Jogos are already operating under the Loterj banner. Another eight companies are awaiting approval of the Proof of Concept (PoC) to have their licenses issued by the authority. They are: 1xBet, Caesars Sportsbook, Key Solution Gaming of Bet, Lottoland, Laguna, PNR, Purple & Green and SDL Loterias.

By accrediting as many operators as possible, Loterj offers more possibilities for the population to choose the one that best suits their tastes.

In addition, the authority increases revenue from grant fees (R$5 million / US$ 1m) and 5% on operators' GGR as a variable grant. All amounts collected are allocated to the social actions of the Rio de Janeiro government.
