GMB - Tell us a bit about iGaming Nuts and what the company's proposal is for the Brazilian market.
André Galego - iGaming Nuts is a very strong affiliate marketing company in Europe that understood early on that it needed to pay more attention to Brazil when deciding to come here. For example, the Apostas Legais website was born in 2018, shortly after betting houses began operating in the Brazilian market.
However, it was soon realized that the Brazilian user has certain peculiarities that make them special compared to Europeans. Here, the bettor seeks to learn much more before starting to bet. It was through this insight that the company recruited me to adapt all the content of the websites and the company's operation focusing on this more demanding user.
Today, iGaming Nuts' proposal for Brazil is to meet the demands of Brazilian bettors with specialized content. We spare no effort to bring relevant information and learnings regarding the world of betting amidst this regulatory scenario. Naturally, the Brazilian market has begun to trust our recommendations much more, and thus we have been growing exponentially, always providing a win-win relationship between bettors and betting houses.
iGaming Nuts was already strong in other countries, such as the Netherlands and Poland. How was the adaptation process to Brazil?
The European market views betting differently. Many international affiliate companies focus only on presenting bonuses, targeting users who want a quick solution, and undoubtedly, this usually works abroad. iGaming Nuts, on the other hand, has always sought to go further, partnering with experts to create more relevant content than just a simple bonus offer, which also worked very well in Europe. Here in Brazil, the same approach was taken, and naturally, this is the right mindset.
However, the big breakthrough was realizing that the Brazilian bettor is even more demanding than the European one. The percentage of more inexperienced bettors here is much smaller. Brazilians want to fully understand the game and the markets they are betting on. They want to feel more confident in the betting house and casino before registering. That's where iGaming Nuts committed to having a Brazilian country manager to meet these demands. Today, we are seen as a trusted content source in all aspects.
iGaming Nuts has always had a strong focus on regulated markets. Do you think this contributed to the company's success in Brazil as well?
Certainly. The Apostas Legais website, for example, has long created content discussing regulation. In fact, we have an editorial line covered by a lawyer specializing in sports law; we have always sought to be a reference in this area. As we were pioneers in educating the market about these issues, naturally, our authority grew after regulation was approved.
Today, we are one of the main sources of news and content about the positive changes that betting regulation will bring to Brazil. This was only possible because iGaming Nuts takes legalized betting extremely seriously, just like the bettors do, which was essential for us to become one of the most reliable sources on the subject.
Not all companies eyeing Brazil invest in a national operation. Do you think this made a difference for iGaming Nuts' success?
Certainly. The Brazilian profile is very different. I would say we have the most demanding bettors in the world. Here, users research much more about odds, are interested in more alternative betting markets, research the RTP of casino games, and make sure to know the rollover of the welcome bonus before depositing. Affiliate marketing is strong here because the Brazilian bettor's thirst for knowledge is greater.
Many affiliate companies that tried Brazil came with a one-size-fits-all approach. However, having someone experienced in the Brazilian market is essential when creating more relevant content. There are things that only someone who understands Brazil can predict whether or not they will be successful. Crash games, for example, became popular much more quickly here than in Europe. If an affiliate company doesn't have someone who can predict certain trends here in Brazil, they will fall behind.
Do you believe Brazil will continue to be the most attractive iGaming market in the world, despite all these peculiarities and regulations?
Without a doubt. In fact, these peculiarities are one of the factors that make Brazil so special. In addition to its huge potential market and our passion for soccer, the fact that we are more demanding stimulates competitiveness here. Betting houses and casinos always seek to be more creative to attract users. It's not enough to just have an international name; you have to understand Brazil.
In other words, this opens up a much wider range of possibilities for betting houses and smaller casinos looking to stand out. Today, with a good affiliate marketing strategy, they can capture a very large portion of the market; they just need to understand what the Brazilian bettor needs. The fact that iGaming Nuts realized this early on was certainly a game-changer. As for regulation, it will only bring benefits. Betting within legality will bring more confidence to Brazilians, and the trend is for even more people to feel secure enough to try their luck at betting houses.
