Help for those affected by floods

EstrelaBet gives up its space on América-MG jersey to help victims in Rio Grande do Sul

América-MG's master sponsor, EstrelaBet, one of the largest betting houses in Brazil, printed a phrase asking for help in place of its brand, giving space on the Minas Gerais club's jersey to encourage donations to victims of the recent floods that occurred in the Rio Grande do Sul.

The solidarity action between América and EstrelaBet took place in yesterday's (15) game against Mirassol, at Independência, in the fifth round of Série B of the Brasileirão.

The team's jersey had the phrase "Ajude o RS" (Help Rio Grande do Sul), and just below “cufa.org.br,” the address of the official website of CUFA (Central Única das Favelas), one of the NGOs responsible for directly helping those affected.

América-MG players entered the pitch yesterday afternoon with the names of cities in Rio Grande do Sul affected by the floods. After the game against Mirassol, the pieces were auctioned on the Match Worn Shirt platform and all the money raised was donated to the institutions responsible for helping people affected by the rains in the south of the country.

On social media, Coelho also provided the CUFA Pix for those interested in making donations: [email protected].

The EstrelaBet betting platform tends to run innovative campaigns focused on the company's social commitments, which are valuable and help the community.

An award-winning example happened during the pandemic, when the company used its space on the sleeves of the Botafogo jersey, formerly sponsored by the company, to encourage vaccination against COVID-19.
