“Vpag generates synergy between affiliates and payment sector creating bridges for Brazil's bettors"

During BiS SiGMA Americas, GMB interviewed Marcos Coura, product and innovation manager at Vpag, Eightroom's sister company, to learn more about the brand's differentiators in the payments sector. The executive ensures that the company carries the affiliation in its DNA. “The synergy between the affiliation and payments market helps us build bridges for the bettor,” he expressed.


GMB - What was your opinion on the BiS SiGMA Americas event? How did you see this year edition?
Marcos Coura
– We already anticipated that all of this would happen; we can summarize it as a unique moment for the Brazilian market regarding sports betting and casinos. We are going through a very special context, perhaps the only one, which is regulation. This greatly changes the mood of the existing market. It's very big news in terms of opportunity for those who already operate in other regions of the planet. We are witnessing what was already predicted, an explosion in the market.

And SiGMA performs this role very well. Alessandro (Valente) is someone who knows the market quite well. He makes the work function, and I think the result is what everyone is seeing. It serves as a thermometer for us, who are players in a specific niche, but it's also a thermometer for society as a whole to understand the future of the sports betting and casino sector.
 


What did the company Vpag/Eightroom bring in terms of innovation, products? What was the goal of being at BiS SiGMA?
Eightroom/Vpag is a company that has been on the road for many years, with a DNA in the area of affiliation, affiliate marketing. It developed for a period a fintech arm with banking technology and developed products for the payment segment. It founded this department, of which I am in charge, to bring elements of innovation to this growing industry.

In this particular fair, we chose a specific strategy for some clients who are already working with us and whom we believe can carry out some laboratory tests for certain trials we are conducting.

Besides that, soon Eightroom will present a more massive family of payments with aspects of instant payment, shortening of the journey. The structuring of our laboratory thinking is based on UX (user experience) principles. So, all strategies serve to solve problems that the user has, considering that the payment journey specifically for the bettor is quite painful.

 



What are Vpag's differentials compared to the market for clients looking for a payment solution?
Vpag is a sister company of the Eightroom group. I believe that this synergy between the affiliation market and payment helps us build these bridges for the bettor.

This is a major differential already embedded in our business structure, so it greatly facilitates the development of products and communication strategies for these products. Therefore, I believe the company is well-stocked and highly stimulated by what is happening.
