EstrelaBet is no longer the main sponsor of Ceará, one of the most traditional clubs in the Northeast of Brazil. The contract signed in 2023 and which would yield R$30 million (US$ 5.8m) to the “Team do Povo” coffers for three years, was concluded amicably and is about to be officially announced.
This Thursday (2), Ceará faces CRB in the Copa do Brasil with EstrelaBet still printed in the prime space of the uniform. Even though the contract has been terminated, the northeastern classic will continue to have EstrelaBet highlighted in future duels between the two teams, as the bookmaker is also a sponsor of the CRB.
Ceará is looking for a new master sponsor and the announcement should take place in the next few days. It is speculated that a new betting house will occupy the space previously owned by EstrelaBet.
EstrelaBet has already established itself as one of the main betting houses operating in Brazil in terms of sponsorships. Currently, the company offers support to a wide range of sports institutions and has contracts with América-MG, Botafogo-SP, CRB, Criciúma, Ponte Preta and Villa Nova-MG, in addition to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) for futsal and beach soccer national teams, and Magnus Futsal.
The bookmaker also supports other modalities. The brand sponsors the R10 Score Vasco da Gama Basquete, the Gerdau Minas women's volleyball team and the Minas Tênis Clube judo team, in addition to sports broadcasts on Cazé TV.
