Jhuana Lamas, Business Development Executive

“It is a great honor to contribute to GiG achieving ambitious goals in Brazil’s regulated market”

Jhuana Lamas was appointed business development executive at GiG just days before the start of BiS SiGMA Americas in São Paulo. The Brazilian company welcomed GMB to the company’s stand and highlighted her pride in making the commitment to contribute to GiG achieving ambitious goals in the Brazilian market. She assured the firm is ready to act consistently, just as it does in other regulated jurisdictions where it operates.

Brazilian Jhuana Lamas has just embarked on a new chapter in her distinguished professional career by assuming the role of Business Development Executive at GiG (Gaming Innovation Group). With her experience and the company's expansion plans, her main focus will be to contribute to the growth of the global sports betting and online gaming platform company in the Brazilian market.

A leader in iGaming technology, providing solutions, products, and services for iGaming operators, GiG is a platform present in over 30 regulated markets.

Founded in 2012, the Gaming Innovation Group offers cloud-based product and platform services and performance marketing for its B2B partners.

Additionally, GiG is a media partner for online gaming operators and has progressively expanded into most segments of the iGaming supply chain: performance-based marketing/affiliates (GiG Media), software platform services (GiG Core), and sportsbook (GiG Sports and the recent acquisition of Sportnco).

GMB - You have just been appointed as the Business Development Executive at GiG, and GMB welcomes you. How do you accept this challenge?
Jhuana Lamas
- Thank you very much once again for having me here. Undoubtedly, it is a huge pleasure, and I decided to join for this new challenge, also seeing the new challenges of the regulated market. Whether we like it or not, it will be a very big challenge for us Brazil, and with all the expertise that GiG has in the regulated market, it will undoubtedly be amazing and a perfect match.

Bringing a Brazilian to the team is a demonstration that GiG really wants to strengthen itself in the Brazilian market?
Absolutely without a doubt. They want to enter with great force. We are already in Brazil, but we want to grow and support the operators that already operate in the country with all the know-how we have in regulated markets.

In terms of product, is GiG ready to serve all the operators in Brazil who want to switch products or those who want to come here?
Certainly, we are 100% ready for this new challenge that is Brazil. And of course, with my help and that of our entire team, which is also focused on this, it will be very simple.

Regulation determines a series of criteria. Is GiG getting ready for this moment?
We are moving towards that, and now I will also help in this part. It is important to give our full support and introduce some of our partner companies. We have already started this process and we will walk together.

Are all certifications ready for the regulated Brazilian market?
Of course. We are 100% for the regulated market, and it is fundamental for us to be compliant and aligned with the guidelines set by regulators to operate properly in the jurisdictions where we operate, and Brazil will be no different.
