Méndez highlighted the importance of Integrity services, such as Sportradar, a body that monitors suspicious movements in betting, acts as a service provider for the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and provides services to state federations.
“There are four pillars for improving the system against manipulation and fraud, namely: education and prevention, expanded monitoring, investment in investigation, integrity audits and access to make reports,” recommended the Sportradar manager.
The lecture also featured online participation by Felippe Marchetti, responsible for Integrity Alliances in Brazil at Sportradar.
In his speech, the Brazilian highlighted how manipulation affects Brazil, comparing this scenario to that of an epidemic. He also cited the impact of suspicious patterns and fraudulent activities on the economy of Brazil and the world.
The Meeting of the National Group to Combat Criminal Organizations (GNCOC) took place on May 16th and 17th at the headquarters of the Public Ministry of the State of Amazonas (MPAM), bringing together national and international authorities to discuss the fight against organized crime.
Among the subtopics covered are the Federal Penitentiary System, manipulation of results in sports competitions and drug trafficking at the border.
