Games Magazine Brasil – What were the reasons for Aposta Ganha participating in the recent BiS SiGMA Americas?
Hugo Baungartner – We like to be present at all events in Brazil, whether with a booth or as visitors. This time, post-regulation, we decided to set up a nice booth to welcome our clients and friends. Our goal is to strengthen relationships and meet new people who came to Brazil to attend BiS SiGMA Americas.
Also, to do business and look for more games and opportunities to offer on the Aposta Ganha site?
Exactly. Also, to strengthen some relationships with certain game providers that work better for us. We have several ideas, points of view and it is always interesting to discuss this with providers, understand the possibilities of these new ideas and implement what we are planning for this year.
Aposta Ganha is present at all Brazilian Championship games and sponsors the Festa Junina de Caruaru, one of the most important in the world. Does this show that business is going well?
No doubt. Traditionally, we are already the official sponsors of São João de Caruaru, and this year we managed to get into all the Brasileirão games, with all the teams. We will be present throughout the year in the Championship. We seek to be present in certain properties that have everything to do with Aposta Ganha. We are very punctual in choosing these events and actions to bring something more to our client. Therefore, we always look from the end-user perspective, our consumer.
You mentioned the regulation. Is Aposta Ganha ready to apply for its license?
Technically, legally, and with an eye on 2025, with our license in hand.
In addition to pursuing the Brazilian license, Aposta Ganha is already in Mexico. How is Apuesta Ganha doing there?
That's right, apuestagana.mx. We launched the site in December and are finalizing some technical and legal details. But our license is already valid, and I usually tell the team: “we are still a baby,” and in Mexico, they say “we are in diapers,” as we are taking our first steps. I know the Mexican market and our competition very well. It is a medium to long-term investment that is working well, and the team is growing. We are very happy to have taken this step and entered the Mexican market.
A Brazilian company exporting its technology and business. Will other countries follow?
They will, and that is part of my role. Obviously, with the regulation in Brazil in December last year, we ended up postponing our entry into another country in 2024 to take care of Brazil. We need to focus on the technological and legal aspects of regulation here. But we have plans for the second half of 2025 to enter another country.
Returning to the regulation, the government has already authorized laboratories to certify sites and products in Brazil. Are you already working with any of them?
Yes. We started this work in January of this year, waiting to see who would be among the authorized laboratories. Now, we have the opening to talk with different laboratories and we have a very close working relationship with one of them.
What are the plans in Brazil, with the regulation?
It is very exciting to live this moment of regulation in Brazil, especially for us who have been fighting for this for so long. It is quite emotional to see all this and to be able to contribute in some way.
Aposta Ganha, as I said, is ready and it has always been in our plans to have the license and we are going for it. We have everything well-elaborated, and I repeat, especially from a technical point of view. The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting has emphasized that it is important for operators to be prepared. We are, and as soon as the licensing ordinance is published, we will promptly apply.
