The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance is taking shape every day. To meet the demand for sector regulation, federal finance and control auditor Emerson Luiz Gazzoli was appointed this Monday (27).
Graduated in Economic Sciences from the State University of Campinas, Gazzoli will occupy the position of betting authorization coordinator at the General Betting Authorization Coordination of the Authorization Subsecretariat of the Prizes and Bets Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance.
He is currently a technical advisor to the Economic Monitoring Secretariat at the Ministry of Finance. The new coordinator has experience in the areas of economics, with an emphasis on growth, fluctuations and economic planning.
At the SPA, he will report to Daniela Olímpio de Oliveira, authorization undersecretary.
The Authorization Subsecretariat is responsible for analyzing requests for authorization for free distribution of prizes, through a draw, gift certificate, contest or similar operation; advance capture of popular savings; exploration of fixed-odd betting and other lottery modalities; in addition to sweepstakes and lotteries carried out by horse racing promoters.
