Sportingbet, a renowned sports betting company, announced a significant donation of R$1 million (US$ 200,000) to Ação da Cidadania, an NGO that has worked tirelessly to help those affected by the catastrophe in Rio Grande do Sul.
This initiative highlights the company's commitment to social responsibility and the well-being of the Brazilian community.
According to the Civil Defense report, 467 of the 497 cities in Rio Grande do Sul were affected by the storms, equivalent to 94% of the total. Only 30 cities did not have any impact related to rain. The report also indicated a number of more than 169 people killed by the floods.
Sportingbet arrived in Brazil 14 years ago with the mission of bringing entertainment to millions of people, always putting our consumers at the center. “With this, it is also our obligation to participate in the action for the families affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul,” states the company.
’We will always remain attentive to future priorities and invite everyone to also donate and help rebuild a state that we are so proud of,” invites the company.
