GMB - What are Eightroom's goals in participating in another grand fair?
Rodrigo Alves - Eightroom is a company that was born in Brazil so, for us, participating in BiS SiGMA is always a reason for happiness. We are at home, even though we are now a multinational, but it is certainly a meeting that is part of the itinerary of the major events in the global gaming industry.
We have a significant presence at BiS SiGMA, with a large and welcoming booth, very important so that we can always strengthen ties with our old industry friends and also the new ones, to explain to the public what we do.
It's not just institutional participation. What are the news?
Eightroom has affiliate marketing as its core business. We have been doing this for many years. We also have our payment division, with the Vpag product, which has also been growing and consolidating in the market. Now, for some selected clients, we are presenting the Thunder family of products. It brings a very strong focus on user experience, making their life easier for depositing, withdrawing, registering, and KYC. This will come to light with more details in the future, but that's what we're bringing to our partners. They all liked it a lot.
It's a heavy development that we have been working on for quite some time to make it viable. In the increasingly competitive market, such as iGaming, it is important that we are always innovating, especially thinking about the end user, who ultimately is what matters.
Does the launch of Thunder have to do with sector regulation, which requires operators to deliver a safe and transparent product to the end user?
Exactly. Regarding affiliate marketing, we have always been well aligned with international best practices. Recently, the payment methods ordinance was issued, for which we were already prepared for what was to come and according to what we expected. We await the next steps of the regulated industry in Brazil.
We hope this really happens because we understand that for the market to advance, there need to be rules in place to grow sustainably and to avoid bad practices, with a professional market as we see around the world.
Is this your expectation? Will reality unfold this way?
Brazil has its own characteristics of how the market emerged, developed, and where it stands today. Of course, the legislative gap brought many new players to the market who may not know it well, so it will be a very hard work.
When the rules are established, let them be complied with and those who do not comply have the proper sanctions so that we can have a balanced market. Certainly, it will be the next part of this process, which is not short.
Is Eightroom already prepared for whatever comes?
Yes. We have almost 20 years in the market, and we seek to be one step ahead of what we understand to be necessary to continue growing. We take pride in doing a very good job. We have a great team in the offices in Uruguay and Brazil. We always seek to have the best possible product to continue being a reference throughout Brazil and Latin America.
