Vasco and Betfair close the biggest sponsorship deal in club's history

Vasco da Gama and Betfair, one of the world's largest online sports betting companies, announced this Thursday (09) the largest sponsorship agreement in the club's history. The contract is valid until December 31, 2025, with the possibility of renewal for two more seasons. The brand will have exposure on the men's team's main property and includes Betfair's inclusion on the shoulder of the women's team shirts.

The agreement marks the beginning of a partnership journey between two major institutions: Betfair, a pioneering company in the online sports betting industry founded in England in 2000, joins Vasco da Gama, a Rio de Janeiro club with a fan base of over 20 million supporters spread across Brazil.

Vasco is the first world continental champion, winner of a Copa Libertadores, four Brazilian Championships, and a Brazil Cup, a club that inspires generations with great names in Brazilian football such as Barbosa, Ademir, Bellini, Roberto Dinamite, Romário, Carlos Germano, Edmundo, Juninho Pernambucano, Pedrinho, Philippe Coutinho, among others.

The contract model is innovative and is based on a culture of cooperation between companies, providing for deliveries that go beyond shirt properties. A series of activities will be directed directly to the millions of fans who make up the "Time da Virada" (Turnaround Team), such as VIP ticket draws and prizes, exclusive promotions, and unique experiences with the Rio team.

The debut of the uniform featuring the Betfair logo will be on May 12, at São Januário, in the match against Vitória, for the sixth round of the Brazilian Championship - Serie A. The agreement also includes brand exposure on Vasco da Gama's digital media, training uniforms, and much more.

The new Vasco uniform with the Betfair logo was officially presented at an event for the press and special guests on Thursday night at Orla 21 Rooftop, Rio de Janeiro. Representatives from the men's and women's teams, such as players Vegetti, Paulinho, Leo, Keiller, Maicon, as well as Taty, Índia, Lidy, Vilmara, Guedes, and Maria Vitória from the women's team, wore the new jersey that will be used starting this weekend.

As a demonstration of respect for the symbols and history of the club, Betfair decided to apply its logo on uniform 1, which pays homage to idol Roberto Dinamite, diagonally positioned, following the shirt stripe on the men's uniform.

The event was organized by Octagon Latam, the agency that will also be responsible for developing sponsorship activations between Betfair and Vasco da Gama. The goal will be to bring Vasco supporters even closer to their beloved club through exclusive sponsor experiences.
