Lottopar grants to Apostou.com passive lotteries and predictions operations for US$ 2.4m

The hammer came down for the concession of passive lottery and prediction modalities by Lottopar. The company Apostou.com will operate the new products and paid R$12.5 million (US$ 2.4m) only in a fixed grant, with a 10-year term. The operation will be exclusively in the state of Paraná.

Lottopar returned to the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3) this Wednesday (12) for another unprecedented lottery concession. The hammer was struck for the granting of passive lottery and prediction modalities.

The company Apostou.com, which will operate these modalities, paid R$12.5 million (US$ 2.4m) in fixed grant. The concession has a term of 10 years, counting from the date of issuance of the service order, extendable for the same period, but with a limit of 20 years. Lottery services can only be offered in Paraná.

The Lottopar concession at B3 reinforces the commitment of the municipality and the government of Paraná to high levels of compliance, governance and transparency. This also facilitates the launch of new entertainment options with credibility and security.

The next stage of integration is the connection of the dealer's systems with the management and payment platform contracted by Lottopar, which ensures that all operations are mirrored, in order to enable monitoring and prevent events that may interfere with security.

"Once again, the Paraná Government returns to B3, launching the prognostic and passive lottery modalities, a pioneering project in Brazil executed with great seriousness," said Elisandro Frigo, Superintendent of Governance and Data Services for the state.

"We are closing the first window of lottery modality bids and will now work towards operational startup," stated Daniel Romanowski, President of Lottopar.

The president also highlights the volume of resources entering the government of Paraná, part of which already has a certain destination.

“Only in fixed grant we have already raised more than R$50 million, with sports betting, instant lottery, predictions and passive. Therefore, with the entry into operation of these modalities, the monthly royalties also start to enter the State's treasury for investment in public security, popular housing and social actions,” he highlighted.

“We are very excited about this new step and it is part of our strategic planning to offer these lottery modalities in Paraná,” highlighted João Mota, representative of Apostou.com.

The lottery modalities outlined in the concession include:

* Numerical Prognostics: Predicting numbers to be drawn.

* Specific Prognostics: Predicting multiple items in a draw, including numbers and symbols.

* Sports Prognostics: Predicting outcomes of sports events.

* Passive Lottery: Purchasing a pre-numbered ticket or participating in an online draw.

These services can be offered both physically and virtually, with Lottopar overseeing the operation.

Security

To enhance lottery operation security, Lottopar continues accrediting testing and certification laboratories. Paraná now has five accredited laboratories: Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), BMM Spain Test Labs, Gaming Associates Europe, eCOGRA, and Quinel.

These labs ensure that lottery products and systems comply with established norms, regulations, and requirements, guaranteeing fair, secure, and fraud-free lottery and sports betting services that meet international quality standards.

Various modalities

In November 2023, Lottopar authorized the commencement of betting operations. Currently, five regulated sports betting sites operate within Paraná's jurisdiction: Apostou, Bplay, Aposta.la, Pixbet, and Nossabet. The instant lottery, operating under the name Raspinha, was authorized on the 6th of this month.

Funds from operator concessions, royalties, and variable concessions will support affordable housing, public safety, and state social programs.
