GMB - What does it mean for you to represent BETesporte, just as you have represented so many other teams before?
Amaral - It’s an immense satisfaction for me. They are serious people who are growing within the sector. They entered the market quietly, and today they are one of the best betting houses we have in Brazil. And it's not just me; Diego Souza, Macaé, and Jorge Henrique are also part of this partnership. It's really cool. I genuinely wear the BETesporte jersey.
How is it to work with sports betting, especially for someone like you who played tremendous football on the other side of the field?
It’s something exciting, cool, and very rewarding. We have to remind everyone that betting is intended for those over 18, we must take that precaution. And here at BETesporte we always send that message. Today, I wear this jersey, thanks to God, reaping everything I’ve sown since the beginning of my career. I’m in a serious and growing company, and I’m growing with them. That is very important.
BETesporte also excels in other sports beyond football, such as the X1 rodeo. How do you see this, given they are so distinct?
That’s true. It was even a funny situation when people started asking me, "Amaral, do you participate in rodeos?" I replied that I’ve seen 'dobradinha' (a very typical Brazilian dish made from cow tripe), but not rodeo. Then one day, they took me to a race where people rope the bull. It’s cool, and it’s a sport that many people are betting on, sometimes even more than on football.
When will we see Amaral riding a bull?
I’m not really into riding bulls. It’s easier for me to ride a bicycle or a motorcycle.
Well, BETesporte also has the X1 motorcycle race. Will you take on that challenge?
No, for me, motorcycles are just for leisure. I haven’t seen a competition in that category yet. But I can tell you that other X1s will come, like basketball. It will be very cool, in a one-on-one competition.
