“Cactus Gaming internationalization is a reality, we’ll be in several countries alongside Bet7k”

Cactus Gaming, developer of sports betting and iGaming platforms, has been increasingly consolidating itself in the Brazilian market. But the plans are ambitious, according to Tiago Silva, the company's CRA, to GMB in an exclusive interview. “We are compliant with regulations in Brazil and seeking the international market alongside our main partner Bet7k,” he said.

GMB – Is Cactus Gaming's platform ready for the regulation of sports betting and online gaming in Brazil?
Tiago Silva
– We are already operating in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Cactus was founded with a concern for all regulatory issues, especially those from outside Brazil. We anticipated that at some point these issues would reach the national territory, so we started with an almost adapted platform. Of course, now there are specific rules within Brazil that are peculiar to our market. But we are 100% confident in being able to enter the regulated market.

You have a partnership with GLI, one of the most important global laboratories and the first to be authorized by the Prizes and Betting Secretariat. Is this a credential and a demonstration that Cactus is well aligned with the process?
Certainly. GLI provides a great seal of seriousness and quality. It was the first company authorized and has years of experience in the Brazilian market. We spared no effort in choosing the best and most serious partners to ensure everything is done with transparency and security, not only for Cactus but mainly for our operators who run with Cactus.

How has the business expansion and growth been in terms of new operators?
It has been very significant. We have grown on average 50 to 60% in the last year. We are also working on our international expansion project, which will further increase these numbers. We are very confident that an even greater expansion will occur, especially with the arrival of regulation. It opens the market to people or companies who might have been a bit hesitant to enter the sports betting market before.

Now, with everything being regulated, I am sure there will be a greater injection of money, and we are hopeful for even more growth this year.

Is there a need to adapt the platform according to discussions with GLI and the Prizes and Betting Secretariat?
Few changes are needed. There are peculiarities in our market, but most of what was anticipated by the regulations, Cactus was already operating in accordance with. This is because we have always aimed to be a platform not only for Brazil but to operate globally. Cactus was founded by adapting to many issues that came from outside the country.

How has business been outside the country, where Cactus already has operations in partnership with operators?
We are starting to take some steps towards other continents. I can't disclose the countries yet, but this is happening, especially with the introduction of Bet7k, which is currently our biggest partner, in some international markets. We are finalizing the entire traffic validation process to be able to bring more partners to operate internationally.
