Based on Ordinance SPA/MF No. 300/2024, Octus is providing legal advisory to Quinel in the process of recognizing its operational capacity as a certification entity. The tests and certifications carried out by these accredited companies to operate alongside lottery and sports betting operators ensure that the games are safe, fair, and free from fraud.
Quinel, a renowned international certification laboratory, takes its first steps in Brazil. Thanks to this partnership, the company will ensure the necessary recognition to certify platforms, live gaming studios, and online games to be used by operators in Brazil, in compliance with Ordinance SPA/MF No. 300/2024 and 722/2024.
"The collaboration with Octus brings security and reaffirms our laboratory's commitment to global compliance rules and the new Brazilian legislation," says Pietro Fiorito, CCO Quinel.
Last month, Quinel was authorized by Lottopar's board to operate alongside lottery and sports betting operators in the jurisdiction of Paraná. The laboratory will be responsible for conducting rigorous tests on electronic games, lottery systems, online platforms, and other related components.
"We are honored to assist in the arrival of an international certification laboratory in Brazil, excited about the opportunities that this collaboration will bring, and committed to transforming the iGaming market in the country," Octus states on its social networks.
