GMB – Tell us a bit about how the affiliation business for Esportes da Sorte has been since Affilliabety joined the Group.
Ronald Lopes - I think it's evident in what we've done. We have brought many fruits and good results for the Group as a whole. For those who don't know, Affilliabety was the first affiliate training school we created in Brazil, and we brought this ecosystem into the Group to help both Esportes da Sorte and, more importantly, OnaBet, which is the secondary platform in terms of size and expression. It's going very well, and there is even an internal competition about when we will reach the same size. This will happen, God willing and depending on us.
The results have been very positive regarding our management and the numbers we have generated for the affiliates, helping them scale their results. It has been very gratifying, which makes us very happy. The results are on the wall and the awards are in plain sight.
The affiliation market in the sports betting and iGaming sector grows every day. With regulation, how are you explaining this new moment to the affiliates?
Our company has always been guided by bringing responsibility to the market, not just bringing in players. We seek conscious players, and when we talk about affiliates, it's important to teach them this as well. With regulation, we know that Conar will be on top of it and the rules will be new.
Thus, we are increasingly introducing them to these new regulations that the market will demand from now on. This is a moment of awareness. There are many new things for everyone, and even for those who are 100% immersed in the industry, there are some doubts and uncertainties. We are here to do the job of helping to shape the affiliates so they become "experts" and, moving forward with regulation, to do the right work.
If Ronald Lopes was once a “college professor” in the subject of affiliation and business, has he now become a “post-graduate professor”?
True. I graduated in Law, and now we have to study the laws to pass them on to the “crowd,” conveying all this to the affiliates.
Does this “crowd” need to worry or will everything go very well?
They need to worry. I think concern keeps you alert so you can follow the right path. The concern is valid and necessary, but we know that the regulation process in Brazil is well underway and heading in the best possible direction. I think this will shake up the market quite a bit, but it will be extremely positive for everyone.
