UOL launches Whatsapp channel for the Brazilian sports betting market

Once again, the largest content publisher in Latin America surprises and shakes up the sportsbook market with a new product. From now on, UOL's Team Channel, on Whatsapp, will serve as an asset for operators in the sector operating in Brazil. With a friendly interface directly in the messenger, subscribers will receive three constant posts with an image, text with a call to action and a redirection link to the bet on different matches.

UOL's Whatsapp lists currently have more than 18 million subscribers, divided between the 14 main Brazilian football teams, reaching thousands of interactions with subscribers among the posts that are posted daily.

Operators will be able to connect to this exclusive audience through three posts, one on the day before the game, one on the day itself and the third, during the game, in all matches and championships in which the teams are participating. The call will include an image, text with a call to action and a redirection link to the bet on the match in question.

The project is open to the market and is being negotiated for a single and exclusive founding share.

According to Guilherme Frioli, head of advertising for sports betting at UOL, once again what prevailed in building the product was listening to the needs of the industry.

“Our desire to be a pioneer in the launch of tools, combined with customer insights and opinions, is and will continue to be our way of thinking about solutions for operators, and it was through this recipe that the commercial opportunity for Channels was born”,” he states.

We are talking about an extremely qualified audience, registered voluntarily and who seek information about their favorite team on a daily basis. We are talking about more than 18 million football-loving subscribers, a perfect environment to bring operators closer to the best in terms of audience.”

UOL's Whatsapp channel is currently considered the largest worldwide in terms of subscribers.
