The National Association of Games and Lotteries (ANJL) congratulates the senators of the Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Committee of the Federal Senate for approving the report on Bill No. 2,234/2022 (formerly Bill 442/1991) this Wednesday (19 ), which allows the legal operation of casinos, bingo and jogo do bicho. With this step, Brazil moves towards being aligned with the reality of developed countries, such as Europe and the United States.
The legalization of these types of gambling will enable a new injection of resources into the Brazilian economy in a transparent manner and under the State's supervisory rules.
ANJL reiterates that, as in the sports betting and online gaming market, it will defend the construction of an honest, regulated and transparent environment for these games, whose activities have the potential to generate thousands of jobs, boost tourism and position the country among the world leaders in the sector.
