Gaming Operations Academy launches new activities focusing on Brazil and LatAm

GOA Brasil, the local division of the Gaming Operations Academy, is programming a series of activities focusing on the Brazilian and Latin American market. Next June 26th and 27th, will take place a course on sports betting management and operation in LatAm, taught by Hugo Llanos, director of Altenar. The following week (July 2nd to 4th) it will be Bernardo Mota's (Ministry of Justice) turn to present a class on combating money laundering in Brazil.

Increasingly focused on the Brazilian market, the Gaming Operations Academy has an agenda full of topics related to Brazil, from debates to masterclasses with experts from the sports betting, gaming and lottery sectors.

The training agency is made up of a diverse team of gaming professionals working in all areas of the industry. Next week (June 25th), GOA will hold, with the support of IDNow, a debate on safe and responsible gambling. Among the topics to be covered, the following stand out:

* Operational complexity and user experience

* AML Requirements

* Measures such as KYC significantly consider the risk of fraud, bonus abuse and underage gambling, reinforcing the overall security of the gambling environment

LatAm Masterclass: Sports betting management and operation

The online sports betting management masterclass aims to offer an overview of the sports betting sector and everything you need to know as a basis to get started in this world.

This two-day course will be taught by Hugo Llanos, director of Altenar, one of the leading global providers of sports betting platforms.

Basic topics will be covered, from the structure of the sector, the types of bets and the most used tools, to more complex topics, such as business strategy with risk management, creating limits and user segmentation.

Combating money laundering - AML, Brazil

Lasting three days (July 2nd to 4th), GOA Brasil promotes the anti-money laundering course, taught by international expert Bernardo Mota, general coordinator of institutional articulations at the Ministry of Justice.

The course "Preventing and Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism and the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction" aims to understand, act and provide guidance on the specifics of money laundering, terrorist financing and correction, with a special focus on the gaming sector.

The program is divided into five modules:

Module 1 - Background on combating money laundering and terrorist financing

Module 2 - Overview of international and Brazilian legislation

Module 3 - Current typologies of money laundering and terrorist financing

Module 4 - Money laundering prevention measures

Module 5 - Processes, record keeping obligations and compliance reporting
