Lottopar reinforces the urgency of a national regulatory agenda for sports betting

Lottopar's board of directors visited Brasília -national gobernment’s headquarters- for an agenda with the Secretary of Prizes and Betting of the Ministry of Finance, Régis Dudena. Its president, Daniel Romanowski, presented the progress made in Paraná and reinforced the need for a national regulatory agenda to provide transparency to the activity and guarantee protection for the market and consumers.

The President of Lottopar (Paraná State Lotteries), Daniel Romanowski, accompanied by the Technical Director, Rafael Halila, and the Advisor to the Operations Board, Pablo Wosniacki, were in Brasília this Thursday (20) for an agenda with the secretary of Prizes and Betting, Régis Dudena, and with the Undersecretary of Sanctioning Action, Raiana Luiza de Andrade Falcão.

On the agenda, Lottopar's advances in regulating sports betting and how the local authority can contribute and make itself available to the Secretariat for the construction of a market with regulation, legal security, and incentives for new investments by sports betting companies. And above all, with safety for bettors and within good responsible gaming practices.

Our agenda here was extremely positive and I believe that this is the way to strengthen the regulated sports betting market, with dialogue,” highlighted the president of Lottopar, Daniel Romanowski.

“Lottopar has always been listening to the market, promoting synergy between state lotteries, state government bodies and also with the Union. Federal regulation will be beneficial for state lotteries,” concluded Romanowski.
