Hugo Genaro, Head of Marketing for Latin America, received industry recognition at the EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards 2024 for his individual work in the global sports betting company. The EGR M&I Awards is one of the most prestigious events in the iGaming sector, whose ceremony took place last June 13th.
According to the company, Hugo's initiatives expanded Betsson's engagement in Latin America, increasing the brand's visibility and promoting genuine connections with customers. “Hugo also embodies Betsson’s culture and dedication, consistently inspiring his teams and embracing leadership and collaboration. He was also the mastermind behind several sponsorships and partnerships with regional athletes."
Hugo has already led social media for Santos Futebol Clube, worked on advertising, social media and negotiating sponsorships for the player Neymar. He also coordinated important sponsorships with Samsung, Gatorade, Seara, Vivo and Gilette that involved player Paulo Henrique Ganso.
Six months ago, the Brazilian executive became responsible for Betsson's marketing strategy and operations throughout Latin America and for leading negotiations on regional media agreements and the area's budget strategy.
“This award recognizes Hugo’s dedication to Betsson’s success,” says the company.
The Marketing Professional of the Year trophy is one of the most prestigious global awards in the iGaming industry. “Although it is an individual award, it represents the hard work of the entire marketing team and Betsson’s leadership in Latin America over the past year,” said Hugo.
